Do you want to install Mozilla Firefox? This article shows you how to install Mozilla Firefox offline.

What is Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox is an open-source web browser created by the non-profit entity Mozilla Foundation and Mozilla Corporation. The web browser – a software that allows you to access the World Wide Web – employs the Gecko layout engine to display web pages on devices.

The web browser was developed in 2012 by the Mozilla community who were in favor of a standalone browser instead of the suite that came bundled with other applications. Firefox had a successful pilot project in which it garnered 60 million downloads in nine months.

Mozilla net installers

When you go to the Mozilla website to download the software, you will get a net installer. The net installer has several benefits and disadvantages over its counterpart offline installer.

A net installer queries Mozilla to download and install the software at once. The main advantage of this method is that you will get an updated version of the web browser.

While this is a great way of installing Mozilla Firefox on your device, it may not be the best option for some people as it requires a live internet connection. It may be easier to just download the software package and install it on target machines, especially if there are many of them.

How to download Mozilla Firefox offline installer

It is easy to download the Mozilla Firefox browser. Head over to the browser’s main page for the download.

This is all you need to do to install Mozilla Firefox offline. You can follow the same procedure if you want to install the application on other machines.

Final remarks

Mozilla, just like the Chrome browser and other software, is pushing its net installer so that users can download and install the updated versions of the respective software.

While this is good, it is not always convenient especially if you have limited bandwidth and want to install the same software on several machines.

Whichever method, always try to keep your software up-to-date. This is for your own good as it improves security and makes less prone to online attacks.
